Dear Dense Discovery reader,
My name is Daniël, and this is my personal website. Thank you for visiting, and thank you to Kai, who was kind enough to let me recommend five books in this week's issue of Dense Discovery.
Once every month I write a brief post about a book I loved reading on my blog, Trema. Those posts are sent out as a newsletter, too, which you can receive for free.

TRANSCRIPT magazine
Earlier this year, together with my great friend Iris, I started a bi-annual printed magazine called TRANSCRIPT. We published the first issue in the summer (edition of 100, sold out), and its follow-up is available for pre-order in an edition of 200. We'll create four in total—one for every season—so this brings us to the halfway point of our publication's existence.
You can sign up to receive our newsletter via our website, or follow us on Instagram to be the first to know when future issues arrive.

Ghost: software for independent publishing
During my working hours I design and build tools for writers, journalists and publishers at Ghost, a non-profit organisation. I've been working with the kind folks here for a year now, after moving on from close to nine years in my previous role.
We are creating the best open-source software for independent publishing, carefully chipping away. If you've been toying with the idea of creating a blog or newsletter, do give it a try!
